Who We Are
The Seekers & Scholars Law School Advising Program supports Shi‘i students pursuing legal careers, through providing tailored guidance at every stage—from LSAT preparation and law school admissions to 1L support, Big Law recruitment, and clerkship applications. We connect students with experienced Shi‘i mentors, provide resources, and foster a community and faith driven approach to professional success. Rooted in our shared values of service and justice, we aim to cultivate legal expertise that strengthens both individual careers and the broader Shi‘i Muslim community.
What We Offer
One-On-One Mentorship
Get paired with an experienced Shi'i law student or legal professional to guide you through every stage of the process, from law school applications and life in law school to early career decisions.
Community Legal Workshops
Host or attend local workshops designed to address the specific goals and questions of aspiring law students and professionals within your community, fostering a network of service-oriented legal practitioners.
National Online Webinars
Participate in national online webinars covering critical topics, including LSAT strategies, crafting a compelling personal statement, navigating law school finances, and exploring how a legal career can be a conduit for serving our communities and the Imam of Our Time.
Customized Support & Resources
Register to receive resources tailored to your specific journey, covering essential elements such as personal statement review, character and fitness guidance, addendum drafting, interview preparation, resume critique, and more.

Our shared experiences as Shi'i law students and legal professionals help us personalize our mentorship to you. The one-on-one advising sessions, mentorship opportunities, and legal workshops are all based on firsthand insights and tested methods for navigating law school and the legal profession.
Cost/Fees:
$500 for one-on-one advising and resources
Discounted $100 for FGLI applicants
$250 to host a workshop in your community
Free for First Generation and/or Low Income Students

Our program is grounded in Shi'i thought and practice, with experienced Shi'i legal practitioners guiding our approach. We aim to enrich our members' professional journeys by collectively exploring the meaning and purpose of a legal career as a tangible form of service to our communities and the Imam of Our Time.

Your journey with Seekers & Scholars Law does not end after getting into law school. Members enter a dedicated professional network with their cohort and mentors, gaining lifelong access to career resources, exclusive content, and community programs designed to support you through law school and into your legal practice.
